My Favorite Fruit Infused Water Recipes
Strawberry Lemon Water
This one reminds me of pink lemonade, and is bound to be a favorite with your kids. You can add a little bit of natural sweetener if you want, it will still be way better than pop!
Add 15 sliced strawberries and one sliced lemon (with rind) to a pitcher of purified water and stir. Refrigerate for a few hours, and enjoy!
Strawberry Basil Water
More for adult tastes. Add 8 sliced strawberries, 8 pressed (to release the juices) basil leaves to a pitcher of filtered water and stir. Refrigerate for a few hours, and enjoy!
Blackberry Sage Water
This is an unusual combination, but it’s one of my faves! Add 1 cup fresh blackberries and 3 sprigs of pressed (to release the juices) sage to a pitcher of filtered water and stir. Refrigerate for a few hours, and enjoy!
Ok, so this one is much sweeter than the others, but so refreshing! In a blender, combine 3 lbs cut watermelon and 1 cup cold water and blend until smooth. Pour through a strainer into a pitcher and discard solids. Repeat with another 3 lbs cut watermelon and 1 cup cold water. Stir in 1 tbs lime juice and 1 tbs honey (optional) and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve well-chilled over ice with a sprig of mint (optional).
